An interesting report, by the renowned Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu and Planet Retail, opens the view beyond China zooming on eight emerging key-markets .
So, not only China, but the view opens out to the other so called BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China) and also to even smallest countries.
Many "consumer-oriented" industrial players, retailers particularly, already and successfully entered these markets. Others are trying to foster their presence and other operators have just approached these newly discovered options. Each of these markets represents a challenge and so you need to analyze and understand all different facets to approach them.
Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu and Planet Retail show their wide and alternative view over perspective and opportunities offered by these eight key-markets: Brazil, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Russia, Turkey and Vietnam. Countries so distant and different one from another, but all sharing a link: they show up on the radar screen of some of the prominent players in the international Retail, all eligible to play a significant role in its further globalization.
The report mainly focuses on these eight protagonists, but they are not the only ones to deserve attention. The radar screen is in fact checking the presence of other spots able to act as future appealing "lands of conquest", such as Colombia, South Africa, Ukraine or Iran.
