Promised lands

The consulting firm A.T. Kearney revealed the results of their list of the new emerging markets in the Retail Industry. In the assessment, the index is calculated with a a number of factors including: political stability, spending power, GDP trend, and presence of modern retail chains. It turns out that Latin America is the new promised land of retail. Brazil stands high in the chart, a rising country with it’s increasing + 5% GDP and scheduled future host of both the FIFA World Cup in 2014 and then the Olympic Games in 2016. In the ranking, Brazil follows Uruguay, Chile and Peru.
