TALKING ABOUT GROTTINI, RETAIL AND ENVIRONMENTS
The future of
Droids, not drones
In the shadow of Greenwich's O2 Arena (the futuristic dome originally built as London's showpiece to celebrate the third Millennium) something looking like a picnic cooler on wheels wanders through the crowd. It is a little delivery robot, designed to autonomously navigate on the sidewalks, not on the roads.
Later this year it will begin making deliveries from local businesses directly to customers. In doing so, it will conquer e-commerce's final frontier: the last mile, usually the least efficient and most problematic step in the delivery process.
