And the oscar goes to…
Fortune, the famous US business and finance magazine, released its annual ranking of the “World’s most admired companies” and, for the third year in a row, celebrated Apple's position as still being the most globally admired.
The Cupertino company gained the first place of this special “top 50”, thanks to the opinion of 4.200 experts of the financial sector and by the highest margin ever in the survey's ten-year history. Christopher Tkaczyk, Fortune's reporter, in the company profile also quotes BMW CEO, Norbert Reithofer's words of admiration: “The whole world held its breath before the iPad was announced. That's brand management at its very best."
But what are the reasons for this consolidated and reconfirmed success? Products, revolution of everyday life, innovation, consumer's loyalty… and the 250 million iPods, 43 million iPhones and the 32 million iPod Touches sold so far and the iPad “promise”.
The ranking then features Google, at the second place and third for Berkshire Hathaway, while Amazon.com is in the 5th position and Microsoft in the11th.
As far as Italy is concerned, Edison, for the second year in a row, is recognized as the Italian company with the best global reputation, scoring 6,96. Then we have Eni and Poste Italiane. Not only, in the global ranking for the Energy sector, Edison again stands out taking a 2nd place right after Eon.
