Attending VRAI LAB

2013 also brings Grottini Lab participating in VRAI LAB, a prestigious laboratory of research, under the auspices of the Italian Marche Polytechnic University.

Grottini Lab has begun a new adventure: VRAI LAB, Vision, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, laboratory of research organized by the DII Department (Information Engineering Department) of the Italian Polytechnic University of Marche. This is a research group focused on various issues and made up of researchers developing projects and publications in several key areas. The main areas of research are Systems of Artificial Intelligence, specifically, systems interacting with the environment through visual sensors (for example, processing and understanding of images). The main fields of application are: HBA (Human Behavior Analysis), Mobile Robotics, CBIR (Content Based Image Retrieval). Conceived in 2011, the DII Department promotes excellence in major areas of research connected to Computer Engineering, and is structured through a number of researchers and groups with common study interests, particularly focused on the technology transfer to public and private companies, with local, social and economic context. Proof of contribution, is the large volume of publications and research produced annually ,(over 220 in 2010) and included in the most prestigious International journals, conferences and publications. The Department activity also includes a regular program of seminars held by its researchers, or featuring internationally known researchers and presenters in the field of study.
