TALKING ABOUT GROTTINI, RETAIL AND ENVIRONMENTS
Mobile Payments and in-store Apps for a more personalized shopping experience.
Thanks to the introduction of the in-store technology and retail software solutions, the long checkout lines and the empty shelves will be nothing more than a bad memory.
The new Mobile Payment Systems and the Apps have become the most popular solutions used by retailers in order to simplify the shopping experience.
Cubeside, for example, is an App used by Target to purchase directly by mobile phones the desired product and collect it in the store or at home. There are also mPOS, a mobile payment service. The startup Poynt, located in Paolo Alto, introduced last October a POS terminal able to accept a wide range of payment technology solutions such as magnetic stripe cards, EMV Chip cards, Near Field Communications, Bluetooth, QR codes and Beacon. Another interesting technology solution was adopted by Neiman Marcus who inserted inside his footwear shop an interactive touchscreen through which customers can visualize the products available both in store and in stock.
A great technological innovation was the Shopper Analytics system that observes detailed activity in store. Grottini Lab team developed technologies and patents with the main goal to better understand consumer behavior and optimize the in-store experience.
The introduction of new in-store technologies through multichannel strategies marks the beginning of the retail of the future.
