TALKING ABOUT GROTTINI, RETAIL AND ENVIRONMENTS
Grottini Advanced Retail World supported the Università Politecnica delle Marche team that took part in the Future Retail Challenge, the business competition held at the World Retail Congress, considered the largest meeting point for retail industry experts.
The Università Politecnica delle Marche team and Grottini worked together to develop "Leo", an innovative retail format presented last September 10th.
During the project development process, the university students Roberto Pierdicca, Francesco Sforza, Stefano Barile and Lorenzo Nardi worked close together with Grottini Advanced Retail World and the VMX retail strategist team, formed by Valerio Placidi, Emanuele Frontoni and Joe Baer.
The meeting consisted of choosing a celebrity or icon of their country and developing a brand identity and a retail concept. The team chose Leonardo da Vinci as an icon of knowledge and developed the "LEO - Tailored Experience" brand, dedicated to tailor made suits.
The LEO stores represent a mix of tradition and innovation where craftsmanship meets digital creativity. Inside the store the customer is helped by an experienced salesperson for the whole shopping experience. Through interactive displays, the customer can compare different artisans and tailor workshops able to ensure the highest product customization. A body scanner allows accurate measurements to be taken and sends them to the workshop. Once the suit is ready, it will be delivered directly to the customer's home.
The innovative retail concept, combining the craftsmanship experience with digital technology, has been warmly received, attracting the interest of retailers, journalists and other universities present that day.
