Amazon’s 2016 Prime Day, a promotional event for customers subscribed to Amazon service, took place on Tuesday July 12th and was
Amazon’s biggest global sales day ever, surpassing Prime Day 2015 by more than 60%.
Amazon shattered global sales records on Prime Day. Among the most important data, Amazon shows that on July 12 the largest number of devices were sold internationally.
Shoppers globally bought:
- over 2 million toys
- more than 1 million pairs of shoes
- more than 90,000 TVs
- hundreds of thousands of Kindle e-readers
Another interesting fact concerns the way orders were made. Prime orders on the Amazon app have more than doubled from last year.
