The latest edition of the
London Design Festival hosted
UNKNOWN, an installation created in collaboration with
Falmouth University designers and students.
UNKNOWN is made of biodegradable foam, but first of all, it is an immersive and realistic experience, as buyers discover the packs contained within the structure "digging" inside it. But there is also another element that makes this experience unique and fascinating: during the "search" for the pack, a desk encourages interaction and conversation between the participants.
Fay Freeman of Falmouth University explains: "
We want to explore how retailers can develop meaningful and human elements to improve the store experience."
This project is aimed primarily at Millennials, who are more interested in sharing experiences on social media than buying objects.
