GROTTINI MARINE TEAM CREATING PLACES WITH MSC CROCIERE

The inaugural projects of our Marine Team can be found on board of the MSC World Europa, an ultramodern urban metropolis at sea that represents the most environmentally high-performing cruise ship to date. For the MSC World Europa, Grottini created the fittings of the Restaurant La Foglia as well as the indoor pool area.

CHALLENGE

With the MSC World Europa being the inaugural project of our Marine Team, everything was up in the air and the main challenge was being able to transfer our 45+ years of expertise on land at Sea.

SOLUTION

By applying to this project the same level of scrutiny and perfectionism that we always provide to our creations, we were able not only to overcome the difficulties, but also to exceed expectations.

We designed on CAD every single element of the fittings, took care of the production and transportation. Thanks to a small and dedicated team of trusted veterans, the installation went as smoothly as possible, with every element that matched perfectly according to our design. A work that granted us the praises of both the shipyard and shipowner, as well as future collaborations.

Coordinating all the activities (site, production, human resources) was a great challenge. With the shipyard I found a great working environment. I had proposed excellence to Grottini, and we got very close to this result.

WHERE REFINED CUISINE
MEETS DESIGN

At the heart of the cruise MSC World Europa there’s the Ristorante La Foglia, a 1,500 square meters place where refined cuisine meets the most sophisticated fittings Grottini could offer. The theme is the foliage that appears in different shapes and natural colours, from the carpets, to the decorations on the walls, to the shape of the bar area, everything gives an idea of class, creating a place that is warm and welcoming.

A PLACE TO LOSE
YOURSELF IN

Have a cozy lay down on the swinging beds, round benches and lounge beds of the MSC World Europa’s indoor pool, the second location realized by us and designed by YSA. Our Marine division shot for the stars, wanting to offer “nothing less than excellence” to the passengers of the World Europa, making sure that every detail would match this challenge, like the artisanal net of ropes created for the Jacuzzi.
